Can I start my application and complete at a later time?
No, once you have started an application you will need to complete it in its entirety and submit. Please allow approximately 15-30 minutes to submit your application.
Do I have to accept and review the Consent Acknowledgement Policy?
In order to access and submit an application, you must review and agree to the consent policy.
Do I need to select a Title in the Contact Information section?
Yes. When creating your presence account, be sure to select a Title (Mrs., Miss., Dr., Mr., Ms.) in the ‘personal information’ section. You will not be able to submit an application without making this selection.
What if my country of residence is not listed as an option in the contact information section?
If your country of residence is not listed in the dropdown menu, please contact the Salk recruitment team at firstname.lastname@example.org to provide you with further assistance.
Do I need to register an account in order apply?
Yes, candidate will need to create an account first. After creating an account, the system will prompt you to login with your recently submitted credentials (email and password created). After logging in, you will be directed to the application/position for which you would like to apply.
Do I need to manually enter my work experience, or can I upload my resume?
You will be able to upload your resume on the first page of the application. This information will auto-populate various fields in the application (Contact information, Work Experience, Education, Skills). Please verify that the information populated from the resume is accurate before submitting your application. You may edit the auto-populated work history by adding or removing work experience as needed.
You may also choose to manually enter your work experience and not upload a resume.
When adding or editing work experience, please note that the system will automatically arrange your work history in chronological order after it has been submitted.
Can I add documents to my application?
Documents (Cover letter, References, Publications List, etc.) can be uploaded under the Documents section on the second page of the application, located above the application questions section.
What is my presence?
After applying for a position, you may go to your presence account. Your presence account acts as a Salk profile listing your contact information, experience, education and skills. You may add additional documents to your presence at any time, but please note these will not be automatically attached to your already submitted applications and will need to be selected to be attached to future applications.
Can I update the information listed in my presence?
Yes, you may update your contact information, experience, education and skill information at any time.
How do I check the status of my application?
You may view the status of your application after applying by going to My Applications. You can log back into your account (here), select My Presence and then select the Applications tab to view the status of your application(s).
