Salk COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
For the safety and well-being of the workplace and surrounding community, Salk Institute requires, with few exceptions, that all personnel be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. In accordance with Salk’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, all newly hired individuals must by fully vaccinated by November 12, 2021 or their date of hire. Applicants who receive an offer of employment will be required to submit verification of vaccination status during the pre-employment process unless the individual requests and receives an exemption from vaccination as an accommodation for a disability or medical condition, or based on a sincerely-held religious belief, practice, or observance. Applicants are encouraged to contact Salk’s Human Resources at vaccinations@salk.edu with any questions or concerns.

“One of the greatest aspects of Salk is the diversity and richness of scientists. They are pioneers in so many different disciplines. We thrive off of the intersection of the cross-disciplinary work that we do between immunologists, cancer researchers, neurobiologists, chemists, and plant biologists. This is truly an exciting time and Salk is a wonderful place to work.” Susan Kaech
