Due to the growing concern over COVID-19, the Salk Institute has decided to close our campus to all visitors and cancel events through March 30th. Unfortunately, this means that The La Jolla Aging Meeting on March 27, 2020, is cancelled.


Dear colleagues,

The 4th Annual La Jolla Aging Meeting (L-JAM)Friday March 27, 2020 will be held at the Salk Institute. Please save the date. More details to follow.

As in previous years, the day will feature talks on biology of aging from students, post docs and faculty from UCSD, SBP, Scripps and Salk.

Posters are welcome. If you are interested in presenting short poster preview presentation on the day, please submit abstracts before March 10.

The keynote lecture will be from Dr. Anne Brunet, Stanford University. “The African killifish: a new model to study aging and ‘suspended life’”. Anne has made many very fundamental contributions to our understanding of biology of aging.
