The Thermo Astral is used by the MASS core for a variety of proteomics analyses including Shotgun Proteomics, quantitation with Label-free or Isotopic Labeling (e.g. TMT labeling, SILAC labeling), Post-translational Modification (PTM) identifications, and Intact Protein Characterization.
Thermo Orbitrap Eclipse Tribrid Mass Spectrometer with EASY-nLC 1200 System
The Thermo Eclipse is also used by the MASS core for many purposes that crossover with the Astral. It is used for a variety of proteomics analyses including shotgun proteomics, quantitation with label-free or isotopic labeling (e.g. TMT labeling, SILAC labeling), PTM identifications, and intact protein characterization.
Thermo Orbitrap IQ-X Tribrid Mass Spectrometer with Vanquish Duo UHPLC System
The IQ-X contains the 1M resolution and UVPD upgrades, enabling its use for a variety of applications demanding such features. In addition to its use for untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics, its enhanced 1M resolution is used for optimal detection and separation of isotopologues in labeling studies, while UVPD enables structural elucidation of complex lipids including Sn and double bond positional specificity.
Thermo Orbitrap Exploris 240 Mass Spectrometer with Vanquish UHPLC
The Exploris 240 is used by the MASS core for Untargeted Metabolomics and Lipidomics. Several different LC methods are used in order to capture a broad range of the metabolome.
Thermo TSQ Altis Plus Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer with Vanquish Duo UHPLC System
The TSQ Altis Plus triple quadrupole mass spectrometer is used by the MASS core for targeted metabolomics assays, including Central Carbon Metabolism, Amino Acids, Fatty Acids, Nucleotides, Bile Acids, Neurotransmitters. It is also used for Stable Isotope Labeling Analysis of central carbon metabolism.
