The NOMIS Center Symposium in Conceptual Immunology will be an exciting afternoon of scientific exchange centered on emerging ideas and conceptual approaches in immunology, featuring trainee & faculty research presentations and discussion. Rooted in the intellectual legacy of Dr. Melvin Cohn, a founding faculty member and Resident Fellow at the Salk Institute, the program culminates in the Melvin Cohn Lecture in Conceptual Immunology, the symposium’s featured award lecture, delivered this year by Doug Green, PhD, of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Established by Dr. Suzanne Bourgeois-Cohn, the lecture honors Dr. Cohn’s pioneering contributions to theoretical immunology and reflects his enduring commitment to conceptual rigor as a driver of scientific discovery.
