High School Science Day Frequently Asked Questions

In Person

I am a student and would like to attend, how do I sign up?
Students are required to register with a current teacher from their high school. Teachers can register up to five students to attend the in person High School Science Day. All students and teachers can register to receive access to the virtual content.

When will I know if my students and I are selected to attend?
Capacity for the event is limited. You should receive a registration status confirmation email within one week of completing your registration request. You will be notified if your school is selected to attend.

What if one of my students can no longer attend?
During registration, you can add five students to your waitlist in case one of your original students is not able to attend.

Are there transportation options?
If transportation is a challenge for you and your students, please reach out to education@salk.edu so we can offer different solutions.

Is there food provided?
Yes! Snacks and beverages will be provided throughout the day with lunch served at 12:00 p.m. Attendees can select their dietary restrictions in the registration. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options will be available.

If I plan to drive myself and my students, where do I park?
A map with parking instructions will be sent out with your confirmation email. We will have parking on-site for all registered guests. Since parking is limited, we ask teachers and students to carpool as much as possible.
