Symphony at Salk

The iconic courtyard at the Salk Institute was transformed into an enchanting concert venue for the 17th annual Symphony at Salk on Saturday, August 25.

LeAnn Rimes, winner of multiple Grammy and Country Music Awards performed with guest conductor Thomas Wilkins and the San Diego Symphony.

Rimes performed some of her classics, such as How do I Live and Blue. She also treated guests to some songs from her upcoming album, Spitfire, due out in Spring 2013.

More than 700 people attended the sold out concert.

The impact of the 17th annual Symphony at Salk is generous funding for the Institute’s influential scientific research and educational outreach..
