Salk Institute for Biological Studies - Joe Ecker’s 65th Birthday Symposium

Joe Ecker’s 65th Birthday Symposium

July 14, 2024

Celebrating the 65th birthday of a luminary in plant biology, genomics and epigenomics, the Ecker laboratory has made indelible contributions to science. Joe's journey has been marked by pioneering research ranging from plants and brains. His dedication to mentoring is evident in his training of postdoctoral fellows and doctoral students, many of whom have continued to prestigious academic and industry positions. His contributions extend across multiple significant research areas and publications, profoundly impacting the fields of plant biology, genomics, epigenomics, and beyond; with gratitude to the Salk Institute, it is now time to honor Joe.

Please join us with an all day symposium here at Salk on Sunday, July 14th. The symposium will feature past and present lab members highlighting their work while in the Ecker lab and the future directions this work led them to in their own careers.

It wouldn’t be a Celebration without you!

Symposium Organizers:
