Each month the Salk e-newsletter ends with a stunning photo to take your desktop on a journey into scientific discoveries. You can download the image for various uses. They can be set as your Zoom background, used as desktop wallpaper, applied as wallpaper for your phone, or even utilized as wallpaper on your watch.
This month, researchers in Professor Ronald Evans’ lab looked at the cellular mechanisms that influence how our muscles grow and shrink.
Below are mouse muscle cells, outlined in red, and their DNA-containing nuclei, visible as blue dots.
Just choose an image and right click on a link to download the proper image for your screen size.
Desktop Wallpaper/Zoom Background
Installing your wallpaper is easy:
- Click on the link below.
- For desktop wallpaper:
- Right click image to show menu of options.
- Select “Set as Background” or “Set as Desktop Background”.
- For Zoom background:
- Right click image and select “Save Image”.
- Select “Virtual Background” from your Zoom settings and select the image.
Tablet Wallpaper
Installing your wallpaper is easy:
- Click on the “iPad cover photo” link below.
- Touch and hold the image and select “Save Image”.
- Navigate to the photo in your photo album.
- From the “options” menu, select “Use as Wallpaper.”
Smartphone or Smartwatch Wallpaper
Installing your wallpaper is easy:
- Touch the photo you want to use as wallpaper.
- Touch and hold the image and select “Save Image”.
- Navigate to the photo in your photo album.
- From the “options” menu, select “Use as Wallpaper.”
