This symposium will feature 5-minute, elevator-pitch style talks from students and postdocs. Trainee speakers will be selected upon submission of a single paragraph abstract (150 word maximum) explaining the pitch idea. We will select a total of 15 pitch presentations spanning across 4 categories: 1) neurodegeneration-related academic research project results, 2) neurodegeneration-related new company start-up ideas in, 3) Request for resources and tools for ongoing neurodegeneration-related projects in San Diego, and 4) Clinical perspectives. Trainees in the San Diego area will be prioritized during the selection process. After selection, trainees will be asked to submit a pre-recorded, 5 minute talk which will be played during the Symposium. A prize for the best trainee presentation will be awarded at the end of the symposium.
