Applications for the Summer of 2026 will be opened in December of 2025.<\/strong>\n\n\n<div align=\"right\"><a class=\"btn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.salk.edu\/about\/education-outreach\/programs\/high-school-scholars\/application-2\/\">Click here to apply \u00bb<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n--><\/p>\n<p>Each summer, a select group of high school students is invited to join the Salk Institute\u2019s renowned research community for an 8-week paid internship\u2014a transformative experience designed to ignite curiosity and build real-world skills.<\/p>\n<p>Interns work side-by-side with Salk scientists on groundbreaking research projects, gaining hands-on lab experience under the guidance of expert mentors.
