Este trabajo nos muestra que los procesos est\u00e1n vinculados, aunque ocurran en momentos diferentes durante la divisi\u00f3n celular\u201d.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Estudiando una forma de levadura que se aisl\u00f3 por primera vez en cerveza de \u00c1frica Oriental, Forsburg y su equipo descubrieron que la s\u00edntesis de ADN adecuada y el ensamblaje de los centr\u00f3meros est\u00e1n vinculados por una prote\u00edna reguladora llamada quinasa Hsk1\/Cdc7 y su compa\u00f1era Dfp1. Se sab\u00eda que Hsk1 y Dfp1 regulaban la s\u00edntesis de ADN, el primer paso en el proceso de reproducci\u00f3n celular.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, los cient\u00edficos descubrieron que algunos defectos en la funci\u00f3n de Hsk1\/Dfp1 provocaban \u2019cromosomas rezagados\u201c, que son cromosomas que no pueden migrar como deber\u00edan a las c\u00e9lulas reci\u00e9n producidas debido a defectos en sus centr\u00f3meros. Los cient\u00edficos concluyeron que Hsk tambi\u00e9n participaba en el ensamblaje de los centr\u00f3meros, los cuales son necesarios para la migraci\u00f3n de los cromosomas.<\/p>\n<p>El grupo ahora est\u00e1 investigando otras interacciones moleculares que pueden ayudar a asegurar la herencia precisa del material gen\u00e9tico en las c\u00e9lulas.
