Tessa Popay
As a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Assistant Professor Jesse Dixon, Popay's research seeks to understand the contribution of 3D genome structures to the control of gene expression, specifically in activation and repression of genes. Using a novel approach, her work will provide definitive evidence for this relationship across multiple contexts, filling a longstanding gap in the field of 3D architecture and providing groundwork for understanding how disturbances in the 3D genome impact gene expression in cancer.
