Dies ist ein ganz au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliches Zeugnis der herausragenden Forschung von Salk.\"<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Im Laufe seiner Karriere hat Dr. Albright nach neuen Wegen gesucht, um zu identifizieren, wie sensorische Signale im Gehirn \"integriert\" werden, um neuronale Repr\u00e4sentationen der Objekte zu bilden, die unsere visuelle Umgebung bev\u00f6lkern und unsere bewussten Erfahrungen der Welt ausmachen. Es ist bekannt, dass unsere Augen die visuelle Umgebung aufnehmen und die eintreffenden Bilder in einfache Merkmale wie Farbe, Helligkeit, Bewegung und Form zerlegen. Diese Informationen werden vom Auge \u00fcber spezialisierte Bahnen zum Gehirn geleitet, bevor sie wieder zusammengesetzt werden und Wahrnehmung entstehen lassen.<\/p> \r\n\r\n<p>Dr. Albright lieferte die erste systematische Evidenz daf\u00fcr, dass die menschliche Bewegungswahrnehmung nicht von physikalischen Merkmalen wie Helligkeit, Farbe oder Textur des sich bewegenden Objekts abh\u00e4ngt, eine Eigenschaft, die als 'Form Cue Invarianz\" bekannt ist. Er stellte fest, dass einzelne Neuronen in einem Gehirnareal, das auf die Verarbeitung von Bewegung spezialisiert ist, eine robuste Form Cue Invarianz aufwiesen, eine damals \u00fcberraschende Entdeckung.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Seine Forschung lieferte auch Antworten auf die Frage, wie das visuelle System die Interpretation desselben visuellen Reizes in verschiedenen Kontexten ver\u00e4ndert, so wie die Bedeutung eines einzelnen Wortes von der Phrase abh\u00e4ngt, zu der es beitr\u00e4gt.<\/p> \r\n\r\n<p>Das menschliche Ged\u00e4chtnis beruht haupts\u00e4chlich auf Assoziationen und Objekten, die h\u00e4ufig zusammen gesehen werden, damit sie sich in unserem Geist verkn\u00fcpfen. Wenn wir versuchen, Informationen abzurufen, erinnert uns eine Sache an eine andere, die uns an noch eine andere erinnert und so weiter. Dr. Albright konnte diese Art des assoziativen Lernens, die lange Zeit nur der Informationsverarbeitung auf h\u00f6heren Ebenen zugeschrieben wurde, erfolgreich bis in die fr\u00fchen Stadien des visuellen Verarbeitungswegs zur\u00fcckverfolgen.<\/p> \r\n\r\n<h3>\u00dcber Thomas Albright:<\/h3>\r\n\r\n<p>Thomas Albright erhielt seinen Bachelor-Abschluss in Psychologie von der University of Maryland und seinen Master- und Doktorabschluss in Psychologie und Neurowissenschaften von der Princeton University.
