Evans<\/a>, ein Howard Hughes Medical Investigator am Gene Expression Laboratory des Salk Institute, stellte am Montag, dem 4. April, auf der Experimental Biology 2005 in den wissenschaftlichen Sitzungen der American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology zwei neue Studien vor.<\/p>\n<p> Die Studien konzentrieren sich auf Gene f\u00fcr zwei der nukle\u00e4ren Hormonrezeptoren, die breite Aspekte der K\u00f6rperphysiologie steuern, einschlie\u00dflich ihrer Funktion als molekulare Sensoren f\u00fcr zahlreiche fettl\u00f6sliche Hormone, die Vitamine A und D sowie Nahrungsfette.<\/p>\n<p>Die erste Studie konzentriert sich auf das Gen f\u00fcr PPARd, einen Master-Regulator, der die F\u00e4higkeit von Zellen zur Fettverbrennung steuert. Wenn der \u201cDelta-Schalter\u201d im Fettgewebe aktiviert wird, wird der lokale Stoffwechsel hochgefahren, was zu einer erh\u00f6hten Kalorienverbrennung f\u00fchrt.
