Geoffrey M. Wahl, Ph.D. In 1970, Dr. Wahl was awarded his B.A. in Bacteriology from the University of California, Los Angeles. In 1976, he received a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from Harvard University. He was a Research Assistant at the University of Utah from 1975 to 1976 and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from 1976 to 1979. He then joined the Salk Institute as an Assistant Professor in the Molecular Biology and Virology Laboratory. Dr. Wahl received his present appointment as Professor in the Gene Expression Laboratory in 1989. Dr. Wahl is an Adjunct Professor in the Biology Department at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Wahl's Curriculum Vitae. |

Yao-Cheng (Leo) Li, Ph.D. graduated with a B. S. in Plant Pathology, 1992 from National Chung-Hsing University and a M.S. in Biochemistry, 1994 from the National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan. Jennifer C. Lin, Ph.D. obtained a B.S. in 1997 in Biotechnology from Rutgers University, New Jersey. In 2003, She received a Ph.D. in Molecular and Developmental Biology from Stony Brook University, New York. She was a postdoctoral fellow at The Scripps Research Institute from 2003-2006. Jen joined the Wahl Lab in 2007.

Benjamin T. Spike, Ph.D. carried out his undergraduate studies in Southern California and in Goettingen, Germany, receiving his Bachelor’s degrees in European History and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Diego in 1997. He went on to receive his M.S. in Biology under the mentorship of Dr. Wahl in 1998. Mark Wade, Ph.D. graduated from the University of Bath, England with a BSc. Hons in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 1997. He obtained his Ph.D. in London, England from Imperial College under direction of his supervisor, Dr Martin Allday at the Ludwig Institute. Although unsure and slightly fearful of the large yellow ball appearing frequently in the San Diego sky, Mark joined the Wahl Lab in 2001. Mark Wade CV |

Yunyuan (Vivian) Wang, Ph.D. graduated from the Penn State University in 2005 with a Ph D. In the same year, she joined the Wahl Lab. Her research focuses on using mouse models to study the role of Mdmx in the p53 regulatory pathway. Yunyuan (Vivian) Wang CV |

Samantha Cheung graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 2008 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. She did undergraduate research in the Hampton lab at UCSD from 2007-2008 before joining the Wahl lab in June 2008. |
