PROTEIN CHARACTERIZATION

The Protein Characterization Home Page is your chance to glance at how Analytical Biochemists utilize Chemical Sequencing and Mass Spectrometry to characterize proteins within The Clayton Foundation Laboratories for Peptide Biology.

The researchers involved in these activities are

Principal Investigator ........................ Wolfgang Fischer (Ph.D.)

Principal Investigator ........................ Anthony Grey Craig (Ph.D.)

Research in molecular biology, protein and peptide chemistry is undertaken using state of the art instrumentation and various analytical methods which are described in the following pages. The laboratories are situated in the South building of The Salk Institute (5th floor about half way along with a glorious view facing North and 1st floor South West corner with absolutely no view [MS Facility]).

We can be reached by telephone at (619) 453-4100 xt 1113 [MS Facility], xt 1538 [ChemSeq Laboratory] or xt 1299 [office], FAX at (619) 552-1546, or by e-mail at craig@sc2.salk.edu and fischer@sc2.salk.edu
