The Mass Spectrometry Facility is directed by A.G. Craig, Ph.D., Senior Staff Scientist and currently staffed by
- Abigail Lara , Laboratory Assistant
- Ami Goradia , Laboratory Assistant
- Karsten Schmidt, Graduate Student
These individuals use a number of different analytical methods and instrumentation to purify and characterize samples from a variety of sources. A major area of interest is determining the presence and site of post translational modifications such as :
- phosphorylation
- glycosylation
- amidation
- sulfation
-disulfide arrangement
- modified amino acids
