Fluidigm's BioMark real-time PCR system is designed to meet the sensitivity and throughput needed for studying gene expression down to the single-cell level, especially for those who have limited amounts of samples or study rare populations of cells.

The BioMark technology utilizes thousands of intertwining fluid control valves with interconnected channels within a silicon chip to properly combine reagents and samples into 1000s of individual reactors. With this technology the BioMark instrument is capable of running single-cell gene expression using real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR), SNP genotyping, and digital PCR assays in a high-throughput, low volume fluidics chip.

The BioMark System supports many commercially available TaqMan® gene expression assays, as well as assays detected with EvaGreen® dye, and those designed for miRNA analysis.
