Recharge Rates
We recharge for some of our services. Recharges are used for instrument maintenance and rates are calculated from the annual running costs. Current rates are detailed below.

Training is provided for any analytical flow cytometer (the cell sorter is operated by FCCF staff. Contact us for more information. If you have a one-off experiment, may be able to run your samples with you.
Billing procedure: We calculate time used starting from the beginning of your reserved time, and ending when you run your last sample. e.g. if you sign up for 12:30-14:30, but finish at 14:00, you will be charged for 12:30-14:00. If you persistently use less than 20% of your signed-up time, we will charge for the entire sign-up.
Cancellation, No-Show and late arrival policies.
Sorter: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be charged for 1 hour.
LSR II late arrival policy: If you are more than 15 minutes late, another user may take your reservation.
Sorter late arrival policy: Your billable sort appointment starts from the time you are scheduled with FCCF. If you are more than an hour late without prior notice, we may cancel the sort altogether.
Notes: 1 Instrument left on overnight: 50% of charge for time left on.
