Holding an Event at Salk
The Salk Institute’s historic campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean in La Jolla provides a professional and convivial environment for nonprofit and philanthropic sectors to gather and engage in the exchange of ideas.
501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations may reserve meeting space for a fee tailored to expenses incurred by the Institute. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, and it is strongly recommended they be made at least 12 months in advance.
Please note: The Salk Institute is not available for events by a for-profit company, or for weddings, receptions, reunions, bar mitvahs and other personal social occasions.
Recreational shoots are permitted and are considered to be photographers who use one hand-held camera without the use of any additional photo/video equipment. While taking photos, please respect other visitors and Salk staff. Any other type of photo or video shoot must be arranged with our Communications department (858) 453-4100 x1371.
